“Na lia” which means “I love you” in the African language of Vai.
I come from an African/Ukrainian background and I wanted a name that would not only reflect who I am but also what I believe in.
I'm a 32 year old Canadian photographer who at any given time can be caught daydreaming about a scorching hot beach holiday.
After completion of my photography degree, I realised that there's no other reaction that can be topped with "OHHH MYYY GAWWDD, THESE ARE FREAKIN' AMAZING!!!!". It's honestly the most gratifying feeling and so I'm very blessed every chance I get to be a part of this beautiful process. There's no bigger effort put into one day in someones life than their wedding and to be able to create heirlooms and keepsakes for families is extremely fulfilling.
People always say, why Australia!? My simple answer is this: To be as far away from friends and family as possible. This sounds awful but it's true. In order to give the photography degree 110%, I needed to distance myself and throughout that process I found the love of my life and we are stupidly proud parents to a lil' cavvy named Fred.
What I love most about photographing weddings is making them unique to every couple. My style becomes your style. Your energy becomes my energy. I thrive off creating these images that tell a story about each individual couples journey. I want to know all the details.
In the end, I hope to ignite the passion I have for photography into every couples photographic wedding journey.
